Description: It is easy to get absorbed in the immediate everyday needs of our jobs, which can leave little time for bigger goals. In this 60-minute session, we’ll work through some ideas for setting strategic goals for your teaching and scholarship.
Facilitator: Martin Wong is an Associate Professor of Geology and Associate Dean of the Faculty for Global and Local Initiatives at Colgate University, where he has taught since 2005. His research focuses on understanding the tectonic development of Western North America by combining field studies with various geochemical methods. As one of the Associate Deans of the Faculty, he assists with off-campus study programs, international initiatives, scholars programs, and academic centers and institutes. He has also helped to facilitate a number of national workshops for early-career geoscientists.
