Connecting Member Institutions with Faculty Scholar-Teachers
The New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium is pleased to launch its Scholar-Teacher Network. New York Six Scholar-Teachers are faculty willing to lead department or program seminars, classes, or other university-related programming at their peer institutions. Faculty Scholar-Teachers may either travel to the host institution or participate remotely in virtual programming offered by the host institution. This network provides the opportunity for faculty to share expertise and develop collaborations by connecting faculty, departments, and programs across the New York Six.
We are pleased to announce our 2020-21 Scholar-Teachers here.
Hosting a New York Six Scholar-Teacher
New York Six Scholar-Teachers may be scheduled for either in-person or virtual colloquiums, department or program lectures, seminars, or other special events. Hosts contact New York Six Scholar-Teachers directly to make all arrangements and hosts are expected to cover any travel or other associated costs for the lecturer.
How to Become a New York Six Scholar-Teacher
Interested New York Six faculty of all ranks, specializations, and disciplines are welcome to be a member of the New York Six Scholar-Teacher Network. Faculty are members for a 2-year term. To become a member, please complete the online form. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
The role of the New York Six is to facilitate connections. The New York Six does not review faculty volunteers: it is the responsibility of the host institution to evaluate the credentials, experiences, and expertise of any prospective speaker.
