Stephen Ives

Dr. Stephen (Steve) Ives is an Associate Professor in the Health and Human Physiological Sciences Department at Skidmore College. Professor Ives’ research interests surround the mechanisms underlying the integrative physiological responses to exercise and how challenges to health (e.g. aging or disease) may alter our basal and active physiology. Dr. Ives often employs a translational approach to his research, using both in vitro and in vivo methodological approaches to ascertain physiological mechanisms and explain functional phenomena, such as improvements in health or exercise performance.
